Our Story

Rocky's started out as a small sandwich shop in Hot Springs, Arkansas on Park Avenue. When Chicago born patron Joe Diorio and his father "Papa" Joe Diorio moved to Hot Springs, they began to miss the food they knew and loved from the windy city and decided to serve the cuisine to the public here in Hot Springs. Naming the shop was easy for them. They shared a love for boxing and wanted to make a tribute to the sport and to their favorite boxer Rocky Marciano.  Rocky's grew popular amongst the locals. In order to meet demand, Mike Simonovich, brother-in-law of Joe Diorio, joined the team and they decided to expand. Their goal was to create a place that reminded them of Mike's dads tavern in Chicago, where they grew up, that was a place for family and friends to gather. In 1984 Rocky's moved locations to where it is today, on Central Avenue.  Through the years Rocky's has been a place just as Mike and Joe envisioned it would be. A place that shares their love for Chicago style food, sports, and where everyone feels like family.
